Birkin

Born from a chance meeting between Jane Birkin and Hermès chief Jean-Louis Dumas on a flight in 1984. Two rolled handles, a flap with sangles, a turn-lock and a clochette with padlock. Kelly

Classic Flap (11.12)

Coco Chanel's 2.55 (February 1955) introduced the quilted leather and chain strap; Karl Lagerfeld's 1980s update added the interlocking-C turn-lock.
